Programs
The American Academic Leadership Institute (AALI) provides a variety of programs, publications, and initiatives across all sectors of higher education: public and private, two-year and four-year. For over 30 years, AALI and its predecessor organizations have provided leadership development and support to the higher education community. The span of programs and services includes a) leadership identification and development of academic leadership talent; b) programs, initiatives, and assistance for academic leaders in various administrative positions enabling them to be successful in their roles and to advance the institutions they serve; c) consultation to academic leaders and boards of trustees concerning the issues facing higher education and its governance; and d) assistance during periods of leadership transition. AALI provides seminars and workshops; supports higher education research and publications; and consults with collegiate trustees and administrators, higher education researchers, and others on a wide range of topics related to leadership development and the successful administration of colleges and universities. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., AALI is a non-profit organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as a 501(c)(3) organization.
